Restaurant - 1881 at Wrea Head Hall
Quality food is one of the four corner stones of our ethos at Wrea Head Hall along with Rooms, location and Service that makes us stand out from the crowd. Our 1881 restaurant in the original oak panelled dining room of the house benefits from large windows overlooking the gardens with views up to the National Park. With its gilt blocked wall paper, antique mirrors, wall lights and paintings illuminated by candle light it makes the perfect romantic dining room.
Our team of Chef’s aim to provide guests with an exceptional dining experience during their stay with menus that change on a daily basis. We offer both a Table d’hôtel or Indulgence menu for those wanting something a little extra. We prepare all our dishes, sauces and desserts from scratch using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. During the winter month’s pheasant, venison and duck is supplied from surrounding estates. In the summer our kitchen garden adds to the selection of fresh fruit and vegetables used in our dishes.
For special occasions we can provide a private dining experience in our “Rose Room” seating between 10 and 24 people. An open fire during the winter and crystal chandeliers make this room the perfect setting to share your birthday or anniversary dinner with friends and family.
